December 4th. Deadline for parties and presidential hopefuls to present the Registrar of Parties, their 2013 elections pacts. Everyone is on a rush. This is Kenya don't you forget. We are a people of beating deadlines at the stroke of it. And we are proud of it. That makes us unique. Actually, a lot make us unique. Such as Kalonzo and Ngilu being in the same boat!
Talking of the two, they are now one in an 'accord.' Let's call it the CORD. An amalgamation of inconvenienced political parties and leaders. The CORD brings together the 2002 General Elections buddies. They include Raila Odinga, Kalonzo, Ngilu and the rest. You all saw them in you TV sets. Name them all.
That happened in the day. Later in the evening, another 'accord' would get a last minute entity. Musalia Mudavadi was everywhere but no one knew exactly where. Ask Peter Kenneth and Tuju. They have a testimony to say. In darkness, Ruto is all out to give us our Mudavadi. He joined them. Him and Uhuru, will contest for the flag-bearer post.
Guys, the math is already done and marked right. If you are still naive and ignorant, this is it. It is Mudavadi. Now do the math in reverse.
Next time I talk of Mudavadi, chances are I will refer to him as His Excellency. Am just thinking loud.
To the last CL group stage math. Me and you know, the oil-rich Manchester City did so well in the campaign. It has got itself in the football history book. The first English club to exit the group stages without a win. Also, the second to finish last in the groups after Blackburn in 95/96. By the way where is Blackburn? Do they still play the beautiful game? Question for another day.
Tonight, defending champions (yes, they can defend and win) Chelsea face Nordsjaelland in an extremely risky fixture. Benitez better understand his calculator. Key to note though; if he wants to make money quick, he should bench Torres. That is enough to hand him a huge pay-check. Actually, any manager who wants to make it financially, should scramble for the position at Chelsea and not play Torres. He'll become a millionaire without buying a raffle ticket.
Chelsea has to beat Nords and pray Juventus (having lost no much so far) loses to Shakhtar. Now that, I will call it a miracle if it happens. Though group E is still open for miracles to happen, it will take a prophet to resurrect and see Chelsea through. Should Juventus and Shakhtar draw, it will be required of Chelsea to kick the ball more than 8 times into the Nords net. Assuming Nords do not have a goalie.

MIgori County Electoral Politics
The stage for next years General Elections is taking form. The country's elections body IEBC has set out training and consequent registration of voters.
In Migori county, interested parties are mapping out strategies. Sad to note however, is the tribal dimension and perspective in the build up. The county is largely home to three tribes. The dominant Luo (Abasuba), cross-border Kuria and the Luhya Maragoli.
A recent visit of Kenya's Prime Minister to Kuria has unmasked rather unpalatable reactions. In the visit, it emerges the Kuria politicians presented him with a memorandum to steer the county's campaigning and selection of representatives. It is understood the memorandum is designed to allocate seats tribally. The Luo will go for Governor seat while the senate seat will be contested by the Kuria side. So will be youth and women seats. now this didn't go down with the Maragoli people. Neither do the Luo/Suba accept it wholly.
In a televised debate in a local TV channel, participants strongly refuted the understanding, saying it was doctored by individuals with interests to certain seats, hence seeking easy options. They called for any interested parties to vie for the seats without prejudice.
Participants in the debate held at Sony Sugar Complex, touched on various development and leadership strategies by the governor aspirants. Also discussed was the contribution of the societies cultural practices, more-so FGM, in the poor performance and living of the locals. Sugar politics did not stay away either. It emerged the county has four sugar millers in place, a fifth being proposed. But the bad in the sugar politics came when it was claimed one of the governor aspirants has had a hand in cane diverting to other millers, some outside the county. He cited a 'willing buyer, willing seller, highest bidder' policy, to get the farmers good bargain for their produce, a policy that was rejected by Sony sugar administration.
The tobacco industry too was on table. And if facial expressions are anything to go by, the participants were more than relieved and happy in an aspirants bid to set up a tobacco processing unit in the region instead of transporting the crop miles away to other regions, losing on "value addition."

With the Premier League a defensive bomb site this season, Chicha 'Lord of the Inevitable' Hernandez may well be the Chosen One of goals.

An Action Packed Tuesday Night
The games kicked off at 1045H EAT. It didn't last long before real men showed brilliance on pitch. Arsenal struck first blood at Schalke 04. So did Ajax's Siem de Jong at Etihad. De Jong would be on a brace 7 minutes later. At the Bernabeu, Dortmund made it look so easy to beat Madrid at home. 45 minutes, at halftime course of matches had taken shape. City had pulled one back, so were Real & Schalke. But, there was another 45 minutes to play. The Managers having earned their 15 minutes, it was the lads to respond in the field. And respond they did. At the final whistle, most of the clubs picked just a point from the 90 minutes of play. Classic come-backs!!
Now, don't jump into that famous consolation....'Yep, it's better I slept.' You missed PSG's 4 nil win over Din Zagreb. Money Money Money! Sad the same isn't helping City.
Tonight, Manchester United take the war to Braga. Celtic and Chelsea entertain Barca & Nordsjaelland (what?) respectively.
ION, Obama is President Again! Tuesday 6th Nov. '12, the People of The USA cast their final votes to pick president for the next four years. In a very contested decision, Incumbent Democrat Obama pipped Republican Mitt Romney 50% to 49%. A close call that was.
In his first in office, the American President who traces his roots in a remote village in Kenya's lake region, skipped Kenya in his tours. Will we see the same again in his last four at the helm?

City's struggles in Europe
Manchester City welcome Ajax to the Etihad stadium tonight; six points behind group D leaders Borussia Dortmund, two behind Ajax , one point in Three matches and missing key players. Key players comes last because to City each one of them is world-class, hence they can afford not to register Kolo Toure in their strong squad in the tournament.
Defender Joleon Lescott (back) and midfielder James Milner (hamstring) failed to make the side at West Ham on Saturday and are unlikely to play.
Right-backs Micah Richards (knee) and Maicon (foot) and midfielders David Silva and Jack Rodwell (both hamstring) are again missing.
Defender Kolo Toure is not registered for the competition
The defending English Premier League champions are having it hard in the Europe's elite stage, actually worse than last season's campaign.
This far is their performance in the championship.

Messi is Father; But There is More.
Current age football (soccer) great, Barcelona and Argentina star Lionel Andrés Messi is a father.
Messi's girlfriend Antonella Roccuzzo, gave birth to a a baby boy, Friday 2nd Nov. 2012.
The couple named their son Thiago Messi.
The football family is awash with congratulatory messages to the couple. But wait, that is not the only news the baby's birth brings to the world. Thiago has come to the world with a mission. To take the on-pitch rivalry between his father and real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo off the pitch, onto a whole new level. Maybe (and so we pray) in a few years the war will find its way back to the pitch.
Thiago Messi is born exactly 869 days after Cristiano's Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr.-born on June 17, 2010.
This is where it begins....
Cristiano Ronaldo was born Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, OIH, on the 5th of February 1985.
Eighty Hundred & Sixty Nine (869) days later, June 24, 1987, Lionel Messi came to earth.
Congrats to the two fathers and their boys.

Migori: Class 6 pupil kills mate 'joikingly'
A 14 year old class six pupil of Machira Pri. school, Migori went berserk and slashed his friend to
death. The two were gathering fodder for
cows when thefatal incident occurred.
School head Oscar Nyakwaka, said the two
pupils were cracking jokes as they gathered fodder when a joke by one of the
friends invited the full wrath of his mate.
The boy used a panga he had and slashed his friend. The deceased's screams alerted residents who rushed to the area. He died moments later from the injuries sustained.
Area Assistant Chief Silvanus Nyaruba confirmed the incident. He the assailant will be arraigned in a juvenile court to answer to charges. His mate’s body was taken to Migori District Hospital
mortuary.

Event: Barclays' Premier League Fixture, Manchester United vs. Tottenham Hotspurs.
Ref: Christopher J Foy aka Chris Foy.
Added Time: 4 Minutes.
Result: United 2-3 Spurs
SAF and team trailed Spurs 2 nil as at the first half whistle.
There would be drama and goals galore in the opening minutes of the second 45.
Goals were netted in a bucket-full.
90 minutes over, United 2, Spurs up 3.
The ref of the day gives ONLY four minutes as added time. This didn't go down well with SAF the architect of the Famous Fergie-Time. The added minutes that United pulled surprise goals onto their opponents.
Usually this time could be up to 7 minutes, especially when United are trailing by a goal or two! I don't why. Even though am a United by blood and skin. Did I say this on a global blog! Sorry! No apologies.
Now, the 4 minutes didn't match Fergie-time. And SAF was FURIOUS (in bold)

MACHAGE: Kalonzo for President.
In a campaign tour in Kuria by Kalonzo Saturday, Machage said the VP is well placed to unite the country that has been divided on political and tribal affiliations.
In the campaigns, Machage led a group of leaders from the Kuria community among them former MP Sharack Rogers Mwita Manga, Wiper party branch chair Maisori Marwa.
Kalonzo was further named Chacha by Kehancha Mayor Tobias Werema. Chacha is a common name with the Kuria community and more especially given to first-born sons.
The Mayor said, "We call you Chacha today because you'll soon be the first in this country's leadership when the President whom you deputize retires."
Kalonzo toured Kehancha, Kegonga, Ntimaru, Masaba centers among other areas in the region.

WEITO FM Blog Interface Explained
This blog's interface provides for various sections and added-on applications.
Top row has the Home page and other pages each with elaborate information. Just click on the page link eg 'The County that is Migori' and read facts about Migori County.
Do not worry about about the radio stream. It continues once the page loads.
Talking radio, you'll find two flashplayers. One, the small one loads automatically (auto-plays). Even when your internet connection or stream provider's goes down, this player will remain active, trying to re-connect. It does everything on its own.
Should it fail to completely connect (with your connection strong), you can go to its stream link here.
At times, the player would load, start playing but no sound would be heard! Just click on the STOP/PLAY button to stop it, the click again to play. This will 'wake it up'
The 2nd player requires one to 'manually' Start, 'Pause/Stop' it. Just hit the button to execute what you want.
Whenever this player's server or stream is off, you'll only see a 'Radio is offline' text.
Also, you can load it on its main stream link here. On this link, you do not require to Start it. Here, it will auto-play.
The two players are a back-up to each other. They stream same content co-currently. Should one fail, or is offline, you still are able to listen to your favorite online radio.
